In this volume, Mason visits a town called York, where he learns there is much more than meets the eye. Meanwhile, Tanner and Samantha continue on their trek across the country.

See a Problem?

Understand, it is very difficult to get into any great detail with the plot without revealing spoilers. I will say this, though. Mason does finally make it to Glynco, the main headquarters for the U. What he finds there leaves the reader truly chomping at the bit for the next book in the series. Just finished all 3 books of The Survivalist and could not put them down. When is the next series of books???? Some of the training had been a bit extreme.

Or had it been? Many of her questions were answered the day the world as she knew it ended. The grid is down, and people panic as planes fall from the sky and cars stall. The US Government collapses and rogue government groups rise to power. Sam Wade is on a trip to reconnect with his estranged daughter studying in Boston when the interconnected US infrastructure is crippled by an unknown attacker. As the Internet, communication networks, and power grid go down, the world is soon thrown into turmoil and danger.

Faced with no other choice than to battle their way home through a country on the verge of collapse, Sam and his daughter will have to face more than a troubled past - the future is deadly. Archie's Heart is a war story - a collaboration novel by four post-apocalyptic authors: L. Glaspy, and L. Douglas Hogan. Using his unique skills as both lawman and soldier, he leads an elite team tasked with retrieving critical supplies for mankind's last survivors. While delivering goods to an independent food supplier, known only as "The Farm", Mason uncovers a secret that goes against all that it means to be human.

Refusing to join their ranks, he soon finds himself the target of a man willing to do anything to keep that secret from being revealed. There they discover a menace so great that it threatens to leave the surrounding area forever uninhabitable. When Tanner is captured by a militia group, Samantha is faced with not only surviving on her own, but also finding a way to secure his escape. With Tanner and Samantha away, Issa secretly departs for Mount Weather to share the exciting news of her pregnancy.

Armed with an elephant rifle and her two trusty blades, she discovers a band of men trafficking in those who have been afflicted with the virus. It is then that Issa must decide where her loyalties lie, as well as how much risk she and her unborn child can endure. Loved the story and the narration but my only problem with this book was that it was very short compared to the previous books.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why? This series is very well written. My family and I are looking forward to book nine! Looking forward to book 9 and more to come in the series. We find Deputy Marshal Raines and his team scavenging supplies for survivors. Delivering these supplies to an outpost known as The Farm, Raines uncovers some horrific details regarding the food the camp has been serving to the colonists.

The leader of the compound, Locke pleads his case to Raines and asks him to join forces in an effort to prevent future problems, train his rag-tag forces, and continue to retrieve supplies as he had been doing. Raines cannot abide what is going on within the compound and must refuse the offer. Once that detour is taken care of they continue their mission to recon the local nuclear facility. They rescue the operators that were left to care for the facility and were being held captive by a militia group bent on doing dastardly deeds. Meanwhile Issa heads back to Mount Weather to tell her peers about her pregnancy.

Issa believes this news will brighten their outlook and bring hope back into their lives. This has been a great story with lots of action, great characters; well-developed and very likable. The narrator, John Farrell, has done a great job throughout the series. Did I say it was great? I enjoyed the first book in the series so much that I continued reading the rest of the series within two weeks. The author's writing was both compelling and very realistic.

The narrator did a wonderful job. After reading the first book, I was hooked. I have read many books apocalyptic books and this The Survivalist series , written by Dr. Arthur T Bradley , has now become one of my favorites. I would recommend this series, not just the book,. What was your reaction to the ending?

No spoilers please! Its on par with this authors previous endings and it leaves plenty for the next book in the series. Any additional comments? This book feels like a transition. The primary story from the previous books is finished and this book obviously transitions to the next big story line I'm really hoping the author carries the characters on to another big adventure! Bradley did it again! He writes a great series and I cannot wait for the next book to come out!
