Eat a good breakfast, a moderate lunch, and a light supper. Eat at regular times. Watch your combination of foods. Avoid refined foods of all kinds if possible. It helps your cognitive activities perform better thinking, focus and concentration, mental alertness. Water also raises your energy level. It is an all-around cleanser of the body, both inside and outside.

Water is important to maintaining health. The more you weigh the more water your body requires. Beverages are unable to purify like water. It is important to drink pure water between meals and little if any while you eat. Drinking with meals dilutes the gastric juice, slows the digestive process, and decrease the acidity of the stomach which can allow microbes normally killed by high acid to pass through alive.

A lack of water dehydrates the fluids, tissues, and cells of the body. It causes the blood to thicken, increasing the risks of stroke and heart disease. Dehydration can mimic hypoglycemia, causing headaches, tiredness, and fainting spells. Although sunshine is considered the number one cause of skin cancer, it does have benefits. No child has ever taken those steps out of order. They are developmental steps.

    God gives us practical ways to participate in the growth that he is causing. One of the goals of the church is to help people grow by developing good spiritual habits. For instance, we encourage the habit of spending time with God every day. Prayer is also a spiritual habit. Bible study is a spiritual habit.

    Tithing and attending a small group are spiritual habits. In the end, we will become whatever we habitually do. To try to be a disciple of Jesus without developing disciple habits is simply impossible. We only grow in community with others. This is one of the most misunderstood facts of growth among American Christians.
