How you perceive yourself is totally up to you. Don't blame anybody else for your life or your state of mind. Declare: "I am strong in the Lord, in the power of his might, in Jesus' mighty name! Now go out there and tackle your responsibilities today! You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. We live in an age of instant gratification. In our culture, we want what we want, and we want it now! It all boils down to impatience. We need to develop patience and endurance, and we can by waiting upon the Lord.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Through God, you can find the strength you need to persevere! Last evening I was watching on T.

Bible teacher Mike Murdock. He made a statement, saying, "When you let go of what's in your hand, God let's go of what's in his hand. I thought, "That relates to the anectodal testimonies that I shared last Sunday. One of our church members shared a personal story of writing an offering check to the church not knowing if it would bounce or not. The check didn't bounce and her family always had plenty to eat. Another member shared that when she received her last unemployment check, she decided to just give it all to God.

Three days later, she finally got her new job. God is 'Jehovah Jireh': the Lord our Provider. Obey God today. Listen to the leading of the Spirit within, and step out in faith when you feel like you should, and God will reward you. Proverbs 21 English Standard Version , "Disaster pursues sinners, but the righteous are rewarded with good.

Yes it's Monday, but it's going to be a good day because you are standing on solid ground. God is your Rock! And who is the rock except our God? God is my strong fortress and He makes my way blameless. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and stations me upon the heights. God is your strong fortress.

He is your Rock. Lean on Him today. I need your stability and security in uncertain times. You are my Rock and you give me divine, supernatural strength, in Jesus' mighty name, amen! Are you facing something today that seems impossible? With man it may be, but with God, ALL things are possible! If you seem to be in an impossible situation, agree with God's Word that all things are possible! But remember, the battle belongs to the Lord. With God, all things are possible. Do your relationships need healing? Is there sickness in your body?

With God, all things are possible!

Words of Encouragement for a Discouraged World: 52 Weekly Devotions for Today's Woman

I choose to trust You and believe that all things are possible! Show me Your power today. I want you to know that God sees that you're doing your best. God sees your effort, that you are trying your best. Some days you wake up and your full of spirit and spunk and energy and you get things done, and then some days it just takes all kinds of energy to just get out of bed and it takes three cups of coffee to feel normal and you feel like you're not doing all that you need to do or what you're doing is not being done well enough.

As far as God is concerned, your best is good enough. God made you Genesis and God doesn't make junk and God doesn't make mistakes. God has already done His part on our behalf in the spiritual realm. It is finished! We just need to get into agreement with what God has already done! We need to just believe that we already are saved! We already have the victory! We already have the financial breakthrough! We already are healed! I have the victory! I already am financially free!

I already am healed because Jesus did it all on the cross! I am fully in agreement with your Word, in Jesus' mighty name, amen! April What can man do to me? After Easter Sunday, the disciples were excited about the fact that Jesus was risen, but not Thomas. Thomas told his friends that he did not believe their story hence why he is called doubting Thomas. A week later Thomas' doubts would vanish, but for that week after Easter, the disciples had a choice; be happy with their experience with Jesus or allow Thomas's doubts to dampen their enthusiasm and decrease their joy?

You and I have a similar choice! You and I are going to encounter people who do not share our beliefs. You and I are going to encounter people who have a lower energy than us. We can either allow other people's opinions to dampen our faith and joy or we can smile and maintain our enthusiasm and keep our faith strong. Today, don't allow negative people to dampen your joy.

Don't allow people who don't share your faith to decrease your faith or enthusiasm. Listen and be a friend, and then smile and go on your way, trusting your God experiences, your God moments. God's real to you, and that's all that matters. Don't worry, everything is going to be alright Matthew 6: 25 and Maybe not right this second, but God makes everything beautiful in his time Ecclesiastes Jesus conquered death, hell, and the grave Your shoulders are bigger than mine.

You got this for now on, and I'm just going to go on laughing and smiling and singing! In Jesus' mighty name, amen!!! Jesus said in Mark that we are to believe that we have received what we've asked for in prayer. Think about and talk about what you want in your life. Don't talk about what you don't want.

As Bible teacher Joyce Meyer said, you need to start saying and thinking the right thing before the right thing starts happening to you. It works if you work it. Begin now. The Bible says that the righteous, " His heart is established; He will not be afraid I am prone to anxiety and insecurity. The key to peace is surrender to God. God delivers me all the time from my fears and he will for you too. Happy Good Friday April This is the day that we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. But nothing could stop the amazing love of Jesus Christ, not even the scourging with the whip, not even the crown of thorns piercing this brow, not even nails hammered into his flesh That is the heart of Jesus.

That is a heart of the Christian faith. That's God's heart towards you, right now, today. So today, rejoice that God took away all of your sins when Jesus died on the cross, confess your sins, and believe that you are forgiven, and forgive yourself. Jesus said, "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. Today, let the words of Jesus dwell in your heart deeply. If you walk in close relationship and connection with Jesus, then you can ask for any of your needs to be met, and the Lord will change things and move things around behind the scenes for you, to get your needs met and to help you through anything you faced today.

Therefore I know that if I ask for anything, you will meet my needs in natural ways or supernatural ways, in Jesus' mighty name, amen!

Getting Your Day Started Right Pt 1 (Joyce's Bootcamp: Prayer and Bible Study - Week 1)

There are several instances in which the people of God were never content with God. For instance, after the Exodus from Egypt, the Israelites felt like Moses and God were taking too much time. So they made a golden calf and begin worshiping it. Later on in the history of Israel, the Israelites wanted a human king. The prophet said, "But we have a king God is never enough for humankind. We always want more, we always want something visible, something tangible, something physical.

And yet, God never gives up on us. Be happy and rejoice today that we have a God who is faithful to us, slow to get angry, but full of compassion for us silly human beings. What is your "golden calf"? Who is your "King Saul"? Meaning, what is the thing or person that you are trusting in more than God today?

Search form

Your income? Your insurance? Your spouse? Today, renew your full trust in the Almighty God who has always been there for you, and remember that the golden calf and King Saul didn't work out too well for ancient Israel. You are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love and faithfulness, in Jesus' mighty name! God said to Moses' assistant Joshua in Joshua , "This book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite it day and night, so that you may carefully observe everything written in it.

For then you will prosper and succeed in all you do. Sometimes you get cranky and grumpy. Sometimes you complain. Jesus understands. Sometimes you get very angry. Sometimes you're just not motivated, just not inspired, and all you want to do is just sit there. Sometimes you want to be all by yourself and not have anybody around you. Sometimes you don't have much faith. Sometimes you're messy, and you don't stick to your diet, if you have one, but Jesus understands.

Sometimes you don't feel like you're enough, sometimes you feel like you don't do enough. Jesus understands YOU, even when you cannot understand yourself Romans 7: Hebrew , "For by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those whom He sanctified. So basically Hebrew really says, "Through Jesus' blood, God has made perfect forever you and I whom He made holy. Did you catch that?

Hebrew says God has made you perfect through Jesus! God has made YOU perfect! So NO more evaluating yourself based upon society's norms or standards of beauty or intelligence or accomplishment. When you know that you know that God has given you his 'thumbs up', then smile and enjoy your life. Help me to correct myself when my actions towards others are less than good. Help me to lighten up and go easy on myself when my behavior is less than perfect, in Jesus' mighty name, amen! Hebrews , "Both the one God who makes people holy and those who are made holy that's us are of the same family.

So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. You don't have to make yourself holy; if you even could, there would have been no reason for God to send Jesus to take away our sins. This verse says Jesus is not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters, which is the Biblical way of saying that Jesus is proud of you, and He is proud to call you His brother or sister! So since God had made you holy and since Jesus is not ashamed of you but proud of you, then be proud of yourself!

Yes, it's Monday, but if you start your day and week with praise, you will put yourself into a positive mental attitude and you will create joy. Smile and say the words of Psalm and Psalm Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary! You and God got this! It has been said that on average every adult makes around 35, choices every single day.

You make 35, choices. Many of these decisions are not conscious but our unconscious or automatic based on your conditioning and habits formed over your entire life span. These decisions can be mundane like choosing your socks or where you're going to have lunch. Some decisions are life-changing like entering a relationship, leaving a relationship, starting a new job, or choosing a new home. The choices you make every day determine where you will go, what you will say, who you will spend time with, where you will live, what you will eat, etc. The choices you make every day determine the direction of your life, the quality of your life.

Now, please read once again the Apostle Paul's words in 1 Corinthians , "For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. George Bernard Shaw once said "life isn't about finding yourself; life is about creating yourself. You're not living on the "shifting sand" of random life circumstances.

Your steps are directed by God Almighty! These verses tell us that you will stumble, you will make mistakes. But you will not fall, for the Lord upholds you with his hand. Though I may stumble, I will not fall! The Lord holds me up everyday, in Jesus' mighty name!! Listen to the Spirit whisper this morning " My Love is unconditional. Jesus Christ AND his love are the same yesterday, today, and forever! Rest in HIS acceptance. You are steady in your faith.

You are immovable. Because God is fighting on your behalf. Repeat after me: "God is fighting for me! That's strength! That's power!

Words of Encouragement for a Discouraged World by Terri A. Groh

Do it once more! March Jesus can sympathize with you because he has been tempted in every way that you have. Have you been tempted to get depressed? So did Jesus. Have you been tempted to be overwhelmed with stress? So has Jesus, when he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane and sweat great drops of blood because he was overwhelmed with stress. Have you been tempted to give up hope?

So has Jesus. Have you been under spiritual attack? So was Jesus. Have you ever been so lonely that it feels like even God is not there? So was Jesus, that's why he hung on the cross and prayed "my God my God why have you forsaken me. You're not alone. Jesus knows your pain and struggle. He's here now and he will walk you through your valley of the shadow of death. You're coming out of your misery! You're walking all of your dark valley! Jesus has got you, and he won't ever, ever let you go! Are you believing? Are you believing for good things to come into your life? Are you believing that you will come out of whatever problem you face right now?

Are you believing that your life matters and that people love you? When you stop believing, you have no more joy and no more peace and you only have anxiety and fear. But the more you believe, the more you will have joy and peace. If you keep your faith, your joy will increase on your peaceful increase. The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? Is he talking to God? Not exactly. Really, the Psalmist is talking to himself. He's talking to himself and he's building up his faith by reminding himself how great God is.

It's good to remind ourselves about the greatness of God, and the beauty of our own soul, and about the strength that we possess. I have no one to be afraid of. The Apostle Paul said, "Christ has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand. As a believer, you are living in a place of high privilege.

Meaning, God thinks highly of you. Also, because of your faith in Christ, you are guaranteed a place in Heaven. Also, every day you are connected to the power of God through prayer and worship and thinking about God. So lift up your head, smile, and choose a positive mental attitude today Because of the resurrection, Christ has brought me personally into this place of highest privilege! Thank you Lord, in Jesus' mighty name, amen! I knew that You always hear Me, but I say this for the benefit of the people standing here, so they may believe that You sent Me.

Jesus is calling you out of your tomb! What is your "tomb"? Low energy? Whatever you're a "tomb" is, Jesus is calling you OUT! Jesus is calling you out of fear, out of worry, out of self-pity, out of low energy living, out of shame! But he's not going to make you let it go; you have to put forth the effort to walk out of your "tomb" and into new life. So if you're ready to leave behind the old life, if you're ready to leave behind your "tomb" and make your life new, pray this prayer:. I'm a lion and not a kitten and it's time for me to roar! I am walking out of my "tomb" with a smile on my face, a spring in my step, faith in my heart and love in my actions!

My life is awesome, my mind is alert, my decisions are wise, and my best days are ahead of me! I will never go back, I will only move forward, with aggressive faith and unspeakable joy, in Jesus' mighty name, amen!! The Bible says "the joy of the Lord is your strength! There's so much ahead! You're going to be shocked when you see the things God can do. Joy over your heart! Joy to your mind! Joy and peace to endure. Joy is strength! You are entering your breakthrough! Everything is working out better than expected! I have new reasons for joy in my life now! Thank you God, in Jesus' mighty name!!!

You may feel weak but you're not weak. You may feel timid but you are not timid person. God sees you as strong. God sees you was able. God said she was confident. So get into agreement with Heaven, because God says He will not leave you nor forsake you. I am not afraid of them; for the Lord my God, He is the One who goes with me!! He will not leave me nor forsake me!!!

Yes, it's Monday. Yes, we all have to go back to work. Yes, some of us have long-standing problems that take time to resolve in our lives. But please read this promise from God's Word slowly and take it into your spirit He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed. Three days later, hearing problem GONE! God's healing is still radical today! Most people just can't understand it or accept it though it is still needed today as much as ever. Acts says, "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Some people think that healing is no longer available, but it is. In Hebrews the writer says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Because God does not change, forgiveness, love and healing are available to you right now. Sorry for the lack of posting. Site has been down due to technical difficulties. How amazing is God? I stand in awe of God because of what he has done through his creation. My faith has been increased through my research.

Only a rookie who knows nothing about science would say science takes away from faith. If you really study science, it will bring you closer to God. Studying science brings you closer to God! The God who made the molecules also made YOU! Today, be in awe of God's goodness in your life. Yesterday I got to visit with a church member who was discharged from the hospital after a minor stroke. Then the news of actor Luke Perry dying at age 52 of a massive stroke. It's just one more reminder that you never know when your time is up.

Hebrews says, " Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment. February Stop trying to fight your own battles and start trusting God! His will for us is always the best. Take time to take a deep breath and say "Thank You God, for I know that this battle is not mine but yours, and I give it into Your hands to do as You will. I know that You are with me. I will be still and allow You to take over! In Jesus' mighty name, amen! I know things seem hopeless sometimes, but believe me when I tell you that you are NOT hopeless or helpless.

Do all that you can and trust God to do the rest! Pray about it and get on with enjoying your day, trusting that God's got this!

Before Header

God says to you today: "Keep running the race set before you. Keep fighting the good fight of faith. Because I AM right there with you. I AM in you. The Holy Spirit lives within you. I know it is hard at times to keep going. The devil is throwing everything he can at you right now. But you say: "God loves me. I am His Beloved. I am blessed with ALL the blessings of Abraham. I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Greater is He Who is in me, than he who is in the world.

Though I may fall down many times, My Lord picks me up and sets my feet upon a Rock. It means that no storm can sink your boat! Walk in faith and you will never walk alone. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor rest on God, my strong rock; my refuge is in God! Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat.

But Jesus was sleeping. Even the winds and the waves obey him! During the storms of life, it is natural to panic certainly, I tend to. He does not appear to be doing anything about our problems. However, Jesus brings peace as we go through the storms of life. Whatever it is that is trying to sink you in this world today, simply give it over to God. Cry out to Jesus and he will either 1.

God says, "you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you Receive it, that you are so precious and honored in God's sight, and that He loves you so much. In Mark chapter 5, Jesus and his disciples set sail all the way across the Sea of Galilee just to reach one man who was possessed by demons. It didn't matter to Jesus that the people of that region rejected him according to Mark It didn't matter that Jesus didn't have some big, mass revival in that region.

All that mattered to Jesus was it he changed one life, and he was willing to travel all the way across the Sea of Galilee and back just to reach that one soul Jesus is willing to go through Hell just to reach you and to love you and release you from the enemy's power. Today, remember how special you are to our Lord Jesus. He would have gone to the cross even if it was just for you! The reason Peter pointed out the peoples' sin was to not to 'judge' them but to make them feel sorry for their sin contrition and to get them to want the Savior repentance.

It worked!

Acts promises, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. January For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. The death of my precious dog set off this chain of events. My mother was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. My son decided it was time to end his ten year marriage.

Mother died after 8 months and went to be with the Lord. I handled the estate in the manner in which my mother intended. My conscience is clear. His father had it before him and for 47 years it had provided a very good living to two generations. My husband contemplated suicide. The hits just keep coming. I pray for mercies and grace to help us crawl out from under this mess. It has been three years. I know this burden will not take me down because I know God will not give me more than I can handle.

I pray for the courage and faith to simply let go and let God. It is a walk of faith and a surrender of any ideas I might have had that I am in control. Florence, I hope your situation has improved. Please put your faith in God and pray with every fiber of your being that doors of opportunity will open. I will pray for you also. God bless you for your wonderful message to the world. By the discovering of your website, I have also learnt to keep up the faith and be steadfast so that the glory of God would be shown around the life of his children.

I think this shows a lot of growth and maturity in your faith walk, the realisation that enduring faith is a moment by moment experience which needs re-affirming through good and bad. I recently had this realisation myself but worded it a bit differently, I said:. Please pray for me, I am going through depression and stress, I feel that I failed in life and the Lord. Cause I made bad decisions. That I wish I can changes. Now my life might be on the line. Please Pray that God can get me through this, sometimes I feel like just ending my life. The greatest thing in life is to always remember that God is with us and he will never abandon us.

Lets keep doing good at every opportunity and thank God in all circumstances. Trials, temptations and tough times will always come and go. It took Joseph 16 years to see his dream come true, and this happenned in a foreign land where he never thought he will set feet even in his dreams. It took the woman with the issue of blood many years to battle with her disconfort but when her time was due a second was too long for her to completely heal without even requesting for it verbally. A second, a month, a minute or a year are just a period of time.

Lets keep our faith high and God who is the master of circumstances will set us free. We just have to surrender to him and the rest will be history. Although I do try to keep Faith in trials, temptation, and tough times, sometimes I would like to have a break. If not my whole life, then the greater majority of it, which makes it more profound than any breaks, if indeed there were any. My sufferings have always been over-lapping from as far back as the age of memory.

Yes, there were some happy or light occasions, but they were always over-shadowed by some kind of difficulty or challenge. Yet, I realize that what I went through and what I am going through, is not as terrible as unfortunately some others have to deal with in their lives. By praying and believing. Asking god to help me believe when my faith is very weak as it is now.

I am experiencing a lot of doubt and tempted to just want to throw in the towel. Reading inspiring articles such as this one help a lot to know I am not alone. Thank you. I just overcomed one of my trials to be a leader of a prayer. Thank you Jen for this share. One thing that I will always cherish about the Word of God is that it shall forever remain relevant even after thousands of years, for there are circumstances that are happening all over the world needing that very Word. Going through the difficulty that I am going through right now, I have been encouraged and I sincerely thank you.

I will make it through the day after all. God bless you! Thank You. I find this a tonic for the race ahead. We live in an ever changing world. We are never aware of the Omnipotence of God especially when we pride our self of His Grace. I want to share this , even I the dark valley he is still faithfully to me. Because of his favour I still alive his love I still have hope of good tings he promised to give me. Our sister in law is in stage 4 cancer and my brother is surviving prostate cancer. I have always been the strong one who has given Biblical verse and encouragement…. I know I am not alone and there are friends praying for me and my family, but I need something to hold on to. Love how God works like that! He gives us what we need when we need it. God bless you Kim. Thank you for the encouragement! No time to quit!

I came across this encouraging piece whilst having my quiet time this morning. I was warned of spiritual attack, but I was adamant now that I was wearing the armour of God I would somehow get through them better than anyone else! But the trials kept on coming! My then church disapproved of my forming a relationship with one of their male congregation.

They made it so difficult that, in the end, we sadly left. My friends were falling dramatically by the wayside. Little hurts and disappointments made by those I thought were my nearest and dearest. From two, huge social circles I now, thankfully, have 2 special girls remaining. The biggest blessing that has come out of these trials is now my husband!

No man or church can interfere with the plans that God has in mind for you and for that I am grateful. As I sign off now; I feel God giving me a new hope and a new strength for the future and I thank you again for an inspiring post. God bless! Thanks for sharing this.
